[DEMUG] Office-type software?

I'm so in love with my MacBook Pro that I talked my partner, Diana  
into getting a gorgeous new iMac. I've been using MS Office for Mac  
2004 and they are upgrading me to the same thing for 2008, although it  
hasn't arrived yet. I hope the 2008 is significantly better than 2004  
which I think is lame, particularly Word for the Mac.  Diana's 30 day  
trial of MS Office for Mac 2004 on her machine is about to run out and  
I'm not sure what to advise her to get. What do others on this list  
use for word processing and spreadsheets?  What about presentation  
software?
