If you don't mind a comment on a side issue, you should be careful
about submitting digital files to MAC. THe problem with digital files
is that you have no way of knowing what the files is going to look
like on their end when they open it. It may not end up looking they
way it looked on your screen. And, the folks on the other end may
have no idea what they are seeing is "wrong." Instead, they simply
aren't impressed with your work and you don't get selected to proceed
to the next step.

They might open it on a computer screen that hasn't be correctly
calibrated and the color might look washed out, all wrong, whatever.
They might have a system that is not color managed and they might
assign a new color profile and change the colors. They might use a
projector that washes out colors.

I suggest you send them prints only.

People are always sending me Word Docs without asking first if I have
Word. I don't. So, I open them in Appleworks and often the formatting
is all askew. I am pretty sure I am not seeing what I am supposed to
be seeing, but the important point is I have no idea what they wanted
me to see.

I suggest you install Photoshop Elements and see if that solves your
problem. I bet it will.
