[DEMUG] "Refresh" file view?

You might try setting the "sort by" option under the "view" dropdown in the
finder. At the finder, click "View" then slide down to "Show view options"
(command + J) and you will be presented with several options on how to sort
the info in your finder panes. Alpha, creation dates, modification dates,
etc.
