Hi Dee,

Did you re-enable the account? The mail should be visible in your  
Inbox after you re-enable the account. The messages aren't removed  
when you disable an account - they're just hidden. If you deleted the  
account, you'll have to add the account again and, if the messages  
are still on the server, they'll be downloaded again. As long as the  
messages are still on the server, you'll be able to retrieve them.

My initial instructions were for an IMAP account, not a POP account.
