Hi Dee,

Are you using Apple's Mail program with Tiger or Leopard? If you're
using Tiger, enabling the account might work for downloading the
messages again if you do the following.

1. Open Mail's preferences, select Accounts, select the account you
want to enable, and then select the Advanced tab.

2. Click the button under "Keep copies of messages for offline
viewing" and select "All messages and their attachments."

If your messages weren't downloaded before, they should be downloaded
with Mac OS X 10.4.

Unfortunately, this does not work with Mac OS X 10.5 (I hope it's a
bug that will be corrected in the next version). With Leopard, only
unread messages will be downloaded. If you have web access to the
mail on the server, you could go to the online site and mark all the
messages you want downloaded as "Unread" and then they would be
downloaded with Leopard.

I hope I've answered your question. If not, post back with more details.

Claire
