[DEMUG] e-mail

In the process of trying to figure out why I couldn't send out any e- 
mail ...I disabled my account to set up a new one.  The result was  
that all my messages now say I need to go online to get the message.   
The messages are pretty much all still on the server.  Which file  
tells mail that the message has already been downloaded?  (Do I make  
any sense?)  I'd like to "redownload" the messages still on the server.
