[DEMUG] Looking for a laptop

A friend of mine who has been toying with The Switch for some time  
has found out today that his PC laptop is probably terminal.  
Naturally, I am determined not to let this opportunity pass!
He is used to a 15" screen and doesn't think he'd be happy with a  
smaller one, so unfortunately the MacBook is probably out.
Otherwise, I don't think he needs huge amounts of speed, memory, etc.  
as he mostly uses it for standard office tasks- not graphics or  
gaming. I'll pitch the 15" MacBook Pro to him, but the minimum price  
($1999) may be a tough sell, so I'm also scouting around for used  
models.
If you're thinking of upgrading or know anyone with a MacBook Pro or  
other not-too-ancient 15" laptop for sale, contact me off-list with
