[DEMUG] jumping thru Apple's hoops for warranty repair

Adam, I think you missed my point. While my post was part rant it was
also part warning to help others who like me had no idea that
warranty shipping was going to be such a big deal. When "That's the
way we do it here" is the best rationale someone can give for a
policy, then maybe it's time to reexamine the policy.
Plus, I'm surprised that Apple isn't more interested in saving a tree
and letting me use the box I already have.
If I were an Apple Shareholder I'd be dismayed that Apple was
spending about $50 more than they need to on a warranty repair. I
see three costs that are totally unnecessary (a new box, overnight
shipping to get the new box to the customer and shipping back to
Apple when a customer is standing there fully willing to pay for
shipping..)
