[DEMUG] ibook lid issue & cats

Had similar damage to my daughter's ibook.  It flickered for a long  
time before it quit (9 mos?).  The repair was almost $300.  You can  
buy the part ($100?) and try it yourself but it is very involved.   
The whole computer has to come apart to get to that wiring harness.   
It still works.  A school MacManager should be quite familiar with  
the problem.  They get knocked off desks when open a lot in class.
