[DEMUG] ibook lid issue & cats

	Hello Group,
	I've been on this discussion list since I bought my ibook G4 four 
years ago, but have not really needed much assistance, nor am I so 
knowledgeable to give assistance - I'm learning all the time and have 
appreciated the posts.  Any way, several weeks ago my new kitty took my 
laptop down from the kitchen table (it was sort of precariously 
situated).  The laptop works fine but the lid is visibly torqued and I 
can't just click it shut.  I must shift the lid to the right to get it 
to click in.  The screen is slightly tilted and the plastic bottom 
(just the right side) of the screen is separated slightly from the 
screen itself.  All was working fine until this past week I started to 
notice my screen flickering like a fluorescent bulb before it goes out, 
then it stops & all is fine.  Anyone have any insight on the 
seriousness of this? or how long have you lived with a similar 
condition?
	  I'm in the northern part of the state with no access to human Apple 
help, my applecare is expired and while I can install memory I have no 
idea what involves changing the lid/screen.  I've looked on ebay at 
parts but I don't really want to put money into this either.  I have a 
few missing keys and almost half my keys have the letters totally worn 
off.  I planned on upgrading next year or so.
	I'd appreciate any info anyone has to share on this.  By the way, the 
cat does still live a happy life here. Thank you.
