[DEMUG] how to configure a new MacBook Pro?

Here's a little tidbit that is tangentially related to your dilemma.  
Since I'm kind of in the same boat in terms of wanting to make a  
hardware purchase during this calendar year, I've been carefully  
watching for news of an upgraded Mac Pro (which is my next purchase).  
Things all seem to point to a release of a new Mac Pro at Mac World  
in January. Unfortunately (strictly from a tax perspective). I've  
resigned myself to wait and have put myself on a waiting list with my  
Apple "Business Agent". What's interesting about the article found  
here: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07/12/06/ 
briefly_dell_at_best_buy_mac_pro_and_10_5_2_at_macworld.html is that  
there is no mention of the ultra-thin portable you describe. Which is  
not to say it's not going to happen.
