Good morning all,

I am currently in search of a Mac Color Clasic computer. This is the last 'compact' Apple sold prior to the ugle All-In-One LC 5xx series. They were only sold for a year or two and feature a 16 Mhz 68030 and 10" Color Screen.

If possible, I'd like to to find an example with no damage to the display or the case. My primary concern is screen burn in. If the screen on your unit has been burned in [faint image is visible when system is powered of) , buy I'll look at those ona case by case basis. IT does not have to have a working or reliable main board, nor does it need to have a working hard drive. My main concern is that the built in monitor and associated electronics are in working order. No need for a keyboard and moues, as I have these already.

I'd be willing to pay around $50 or so depending on the condition of the system, whats broken, whats missing, etc. Extra hardware is also of interest as well, but things such as memory expansions are of little value since I have all the memory I could ever not want. Exceptional examples may be considered at a higher price, but as these system age, its very difficult to locate ones which have not had the plastics yellow. Even my beige G3 which has been sealed into a cardboard box out of sunlight has yellowed over itme. If there is a particular piece of hardware for your Mac You've been lusting after and would like to swap, please contact me. I have a variety of systems, and parts, and what not. Perhaps you'd be interested in swapping for a 15" DVi flat screen LCD? In particular I've got a lot of Mac Graphics Cards. Many original Mac G4 AGP Towers are only equipped with the Anemic Rage 128 and so there is lots of performance to be gained by updating your GPU, and then
adding a new CPU as well. It IS possible to play WoW on a 1st Gen G4 for about $200-400 investment. I also have a number of spare parts of Lomard and Pismo G3 Powerbooks, so if there is something you need perhaps we can work out a mutually agreeable swap?

So, If you think that something like this might interest you, please contact me at agochi2001 at yahoo.com or agochi2001 at gmail.com. All requests for trades, swaps, will be entertained. I Realized many people treasure these systems and have great sentimental value attached to them. I assure you this machine would be getting an excellent home where it will be treasured, loved, and reveared as being one of the cooler, 'one-off' systems Apple Made.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I eagerly await your replies!!!

Alex
